The Keeper of Keys – Just released 01 Jan 2021

How far would you go to have a child? Suppose this dream is finally answered with a daughter—What would you not do to protect her?

A novel about what it means to discover all kinds of hidden life where we least expect.  What if the experts were wrong—dead wrong, so wrong that it would change everything if a mother listened only to the quiet voice of hope, singing softly and barely alive within her?  Beware, not everything is understood by medicine.  And take heed, for love and blessings of unpredictable magnitude can come at the strangest of times.  A tale of romance and suffering, friendship and betrayal, belief and doubt—this story will grip you until the end.  Will one family overcome the world’s hold on them?

About the Author

Brian Arthur Ferguson, DO, MPH, (Fergy) is an active duty emergency medicine physician with the United States Air Force, currently practicing in Southern Pines, NC. Also, he is Editor-in-Chief for the peer-reviewed journal: Journal of Wellness.

Aside from caring for two small children: Connor (5 years) and Elijah (2 years), Fergy enjoys all kinds of exercise with his wife, Alyssa—whom he also used to complete alongside in gymnastics.

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia 2019

When not lifting weights, and otherwise not engaged in reading or writing, Fergy (usually with the accompaniment of his five-year-old) will enjoy a very worn, full size grand piano—for which the two play to serenade the mother of the house.

Harnessing those precious few quiet moments, the Ferguson family will gather around the fire with their favorite literature stacked in troves surrounding them, and select one from among the many, to read and enjoy time together.

Favorite period to read: Nineteenth century English Literature.

Favorite work: Silas Marner by George Eliot
